Daylight Saving Time for the United States ends Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 2:00 AM local standard time for each United States time zone. (This means Monday morning for us.)
Please remember that everyone back home will be falling back one hour. We do not need to change our local time on station."
Time is a tricky concept near the South Pole. Directly at True South (or True North) you stand in all 24 time zones at one time. Here at McMurdo our time stays constant too, I'm not a 100% sure why but I think it's to keep operations running smoothly.
